Download the USB driver for Android

You can download USB drivers following the list below according to your Android device brand.

If your phone brand is not listed above, you can download the universal ADB driver by visiting https://adb.clockworkmod.com/ and then clicking the Download button to download it on your computer.

Install USB driver for Android Devices on Computer

When you finish downloading, follow the instructions below to install it on your computer.

Step 1: Connect the device to the computer with a USB cable.

Step 2: For Windows 11/10/8.1/8 users: Press Windows + X at the same time and select Device Manager on the following list. You can also input Device Manager in the search box of the interface to open the page.

For Windows 7 users: Open Windows Explorer, right-click on My computer/Computer and select Manage from the menu. After that, select Devices in the left pane.

Step 3: On the pop-up page, locate Portable Devices and double-click it. Then, right-click your Android device name on the right page and tap Update driver.

Step 4: From the Hardware Update wizard, choose the second option: Browse my computer for drivers.

Step 5: Then click Browse to locate the USB driver you’ve just downloaded. You might find the driver package in your downloads folder. Click it and click Next to start the installation.

Step 1: Open Settings on Xiaomi/Redmi. Tap About phone.

1. Via the Control Panel

Step 1: Input Control Panel in the search box on the bottom left of the computer screen.

Step 2: Choose System and Security on the pop-up window.

Step 3: Select Windows Defender Firewall on the right of the following page.

Step 4: On the next page, tap the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option and then check Turn off Windows Defender Firewall and hit OK to finish.

2. Via Settings

Step 1: Open Settings on your computer desktop and find the Windows Security option (you can directly search in the box or click Update & Security to find this option).

Step 2: Find and click Firewall & network protection on the right page.

Step 3: On the right of the pop-up window, find Allow an app through firewall and click it. Check the app or program you want to allow, and then click OK.

3. Using the Command Prompt

You can also use the command prompt to turn off your Windows Defender Firewall.

Step 1: Go to the search box in the bottom left corner of your computer screen and input Command Prompt. Then, a window will pop up.

Step 2: Enter the command of netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off, and your Windows Defender Firewall will be disabled.
